RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities
- Manages accounting and finance workflows, reporting, cash controls, budgeting support, billing oversight, and financial process discipline.
- Reconcile source records to system transactions and resolve exceptions before final processing or reporting.
- Maintain separation of duties, approval evidence, confidentiality, and financial-record accuracy.
- Follow documented Proton procedures, customer requirements, safety expectations, and escalation paths for the assigned work.
- Maintain accurate records, status updates, and supporting documentation so work can be verified, billed, audited, or handed off correctly.
- Communicate delays, risks, defects, customer concerns, or scope changes early instead of allowing unresolved issues to sit.
- Protect customer information, company assets, and confidential business information encountered during the work.
- Participate in training, process improvement, and performance reviews tied to the role’s service and operating standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical, business, or college coursework is preferred where applicable.
- 4+ years of directly relevant experience, including demonstrated responsibility for people, accounts, projects, or operations appropriate to the position.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with coworkers, customers, providers, or candidates as the role requires.
- Comfort using computers, email, shared documents, and company systems; role-specific software training may be provided.
- Ability to follow documented processes, protect confidential information, and reliably complete assigned work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications
- Service-business, staffing, project, or contract-accounting experience
- QuickBooks or comparable accounting/payroll platform experience
- Advanced spreadsheet and reconciliation skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work environment & requirements
- Work arrangement: Jacksonville-based; office or hybrid based on business needs
- Schedule: Standard business hours; month-end, payroll, billing cycles, and close deadlines may require additional hours
- Travel: Minimal; occasional local meetings may occur
- Physical requirements: Primarily computer, document, and telephone work
- Tools and systems: Accounting software, spreadsheets, billing systems, payroll tools, banking portals, and document-management systems
