POSITION PURPOSE

Position summary

Supports workplace concerns, investigations, documentation, policy interpretation, and manager/employee communication within HR procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities

  • Supports workplace concerns, investigations, documentation, policy interpretation, and manager/employee communication within HR procedures.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and route sensitive matters through approved HR processes.
  • Apply policies consistently and escalate legal, accommodation, leave, or employee-relations matters that require qualified review.
  • Follow documented Proton procedures, customer requirements, safety expectations, and escalation paths for the assigned work.
  • Maintain accurate records, status updates, and supporting documentation so work can be verified, billed, audited, or handed off correctly.
  • Communicate delays, risks, defects, customer concerns, or scope changes early instead of allowing unresolved issues to sit.
  • Protect customer information, company assets, and confidential business information encountered during the work.
  • Participate in training, process improvement, and performance reviews tied to the role’s service and operating standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, psychology, or a related field preferred; equivalent directly relevant experience may be considered.
  • 1–3+ years of directly relevant experience in the functional area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with coworkers, customers, providers, or candidates as the role requires.
  • Comfort using computers, email, shared documents, and company systems; role-specific software training may be provided.
  • Ability to follow documented processes, protect confidential information, and reliably complete assigned work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting hourly, field-service, staffing, or multi-site employees
  • SHRM/HRCI or related HR training for professional roles
  • HRIS, ATS, benefits, payroll, onboarding, or employee-relations experience

Work environment & requirements

  • Work arrangement: Jacksonville-based; office or hybrid with field/customer-site support as business needs require
  • Schedule: Standard business hours; employee relations, onboarding, and workforce events may require alternate hours
  • Travel: Occasional local travel for onboarding, employee support, or customer-site requirements
  • Physical requirements: Primarily computer, document, meeting, and employee-support work
  • Tools and systems: HRIS, ATS, payroll/benefits platforms, spreadsheets, document systems, email, and learning tools
